Ingredients
500g chicken breast, cut into chunks
1 cup plain yogurt
2 tsp garam masala
1 large onion, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
400g canned tomatoes, crushed
1 cup heavy cream
Salt to taste
Oil for cooking
Fresh cilantro, for garnish
Method
Mix the chicken with yogurt and garam masala, let it marinate for at least 1 hour, or overnight if possible.
In a large skillet, heat oil over medium heat. Add the marinated chicken and cook until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
In the same skillet, sauté onions and garlic until onions are translucent.
Add crushed tomatoes to the skillet and bring to a simmer. Return the chicken to the skillet, cover, and let it simmer for about 20 minutes.
Stir in the cream, season with salt, and cook for another 10 minutes until the sauce thickens.
Garnish with chopped cilantro and serve with rice or naan.
